Finish line!

I have started taking part in Marathons couple of years before. Initially it all started with fun, running short marathons like Fun Run along with friends!

Gradually, realized the necessity of Marathon which is serving important social causes.

I started to take part in 10 KM Marathon from 2017. Here, I have a bit of history how I got into 10 KM.

My wife who is more athlete than me was taking part since 2015 and that is how I got to know about Marathons. I was taking snaps in and around the track when she was running. I observed lot of support from the people who are cheering Runners by standing outside the track.

Especially cheering helps lot of people when they are down in between and facing difficulty to run in normal pace.

And when one is about to complete the Marathon with paining legs and knees, this cheering motivates runners to hit the target by crossing the finish line.

I saw a Punjabi family who were cheering well with phrases “good going, good going, you’re almost there”. I still remember I was astonished by seeing this support and already got tears in my eyes.

There was one guy who was about to complete the marathon and just behind the finish line but he lost his running balance, couldn’t run on legs and started crawling to cross the finish line. At this point in time, crowd was cheering that guy like anything which might have helped that guy to cross the finish line.

Somewhere in our lives, we can relate this instance of support when one is down and just a pat on the back would help one to cross the hurdle.
